onArcade 2.3 File adding form

There are 3 ways to add files (games/videos/audio...) in onArcade 2.3:

Manual file adding

Files are added using file adding form. You can access file adding form by going to Admin CP, from top menu select "Files" and on that page select "Add file" tab. To add new file fill in all the required fields and press submit.

  • Title - title of the file
  • Description - description of the file. This is shown on category and file pages and also used in META tags.
  • Keywords - comma separated keywords of file. These are shown on file page and also used in META tags.
  • Category - category of file.
  • File type - file type of the file. Different files use different codes to be played on website, so make sure you select correct file type. Flash games are generally SWF.
    • Custom code - custom code allows entering embed codes of sites like Youtube.
  • File - file to be played on website. File can be uploaded through admin pane, uploaded using FTP or grabbed using URL of the file. When uploading using FTP files have to be uploaded to files/file/ directory.
    • Local means that file is in your server, Linked means that file is hot-linked, Frame means that file is but inside iframe
    • Dimensions are automatically found for SWF and image files, for other files you have to manually insert file dimensions (width x height)
  • Image - icon of the file. Image can be uploaded through admin pane, uploaded using FTP or grabbed using URL of the image. When uploading using FTP images have to be uploaded to files/image/ directory.
  • Status - status of the game
    • Active - means that file is active and displayed on website.
    • Inactive - file is inactive and not displayed on website.
    • Game activator - file is currently not active, but it later automatically activated by game activator
  • Adult - whether file contains adult content or not. Adult files show adult warning before displaying the contents of the file.
  • Scores - only for games. Whether game supports scores system.
    • Highscore type - whether highest or lowest score is better
    • gname / game_name - ID used by scores system to uniquely identify game
  • Sponsor - sponsor of the file. Shown on file page.
    • URL - URL of the sponsor.
